TIRA - Getting Started Page 1

Welcome to TIRA, the following pages should help you get up and started with the minimum of fuss.

After installing TIRA to the default location C:\TIRA the applications requires either MS-Access 2007 or the free access 2007 runtime program to be installed on your machine.

Once MS-Access 2007 or its’ free runtime program are installed double click on the desktop icon or navigate to C:\TIRA directory and double click on the file named TIRA_fe.

After the initial splash screen TIRA offers a simple log-in box, the default log-in is user name Guest and pwd = password.  It is strongly recommended that you add a new log-in and then delete the ‘Guest’ log-in.

The protection offered in the FREE version of TIRA is not sophisticated and whilst it will keep honest people honest, the more determined individual may well find a backdoor entry.  www.onsafelines.com : TIRA Sign-on Box

The user log-in also offers no level of user hierarchy, this facility will be considered for future releases of TIRA.

OK, down to the nuts and bolts stuff.  (also refer to TIRA’s flow diagram for a basic design input layout)

The first data users should add is their company(s) or their clients company(s) into the company table.

The companies table is available via the Admin & Support Tab

Note : This is the only time you need to enter company names, TIRA will use the information entered here throughout the entire application.  This allows for efficiency of operation and accuracy of data.  All changes made to this table will be cascaded to all related records, allowing for one-time edit and updates.
