Installation Guide: Task Inventory and Risk Assessment Management

Download TIRA’s setup file setup-tira-full.exe from the download page and simply double click to run
the windows installer.  Check the programs Code Signing Certificate bears our authorised.

After successful installation and after initial splash screen, TIRA offers a simple log-in box, the default log-in is user name is Guest and pwd is password. It is strongly recommended that you change the ‘Guest’ log-in.

Default installation directory;

C:\Program Files (x86)\On Safe Lines QHSE Software\Task Inventory and Risk Assessments

For XP - C:\Program Files\On Safe Lines QHSE Software\Task Inventory and Risk Assessments(see notes below)

Note: TIRA can be moved into an alternative directory and has a self re-connection routine to easily allow users to do so.  A typical example would be when TIRA's data file 'TIRA_be' is moved onto a network drive to allow the front end to be placed on numerous user's terminals.

Network Usage: TIRA has been designed and developed to be multi-user and network efficient. TIRA always performs best when working on your local computer. However, it is recognised that many users will wish to network TIRA. Users may notice a slower than expected performance when connected over a network depending upon various factors such as the design, configuration, speed, traffic, etc. of your company network. (Example network setup)

Caution: If you are in a corporate network environment, you should check with your information technology department to determine whether your company has established guidelines concerning enabling content on Access databases.

For guidance on setting up TIRA, please go to the getting started section of On Safe Lines - Welcome to TIRA.

TIRA is a large file to download at approximately 271MB.  We would recommend using a download manager with a resume on broken download feature.  We currently use Free Download Manager (Lite version) see: http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/download.htm
