As the Managing Director of On Safe Lines I bring the company a Master of Science in Occupational & Environmental Health & Safety Management, from University of Portsmouth November 2007.
I founded the company in 2003, this after a number of personal requests by company
directors to provide traditional Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental support
for them after their dealings with me in my old QHSE Managers role. The cost of providing
a full time competent health and safety, quality or environmental officer is more
than many small companies can afford. Companies have often found that investment
in training individuals, (whether it’s health and safety, quality or environmental
and perhaps even a combination of all three), has led to these newly trained individuals
leaving for greener pastures. A cost many small companies simply cannot tolerate.
Whether your company needs full-time health and safety, quality or environmental support, or it just needs support while you fill a vacancy or arrange for existing staff to be trained and passed competent, On Safe Lines can help plug the gap for you.
I have worked within an industrial environment since finishing my apprenticeship in engineering back in 1982. Various roles and promotions have seen me gain over 20 years experience in Quality Management Systems and 18 years experience in Health & Safety Systems. Furthermore, as environmental issues and concerns have come more to the forefront of company agendas, I have over the last seven years developed my resume to include Environmental Management Systems.
So your question may well be “...am I qualified to help, am I competent to help?...”.
As the Managing Director of On Safe Lines I am a Chartered Safety & Health Professional. I also hold Associate Membership of both the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and the Chartered Quality Institute.
