TIRA stands for Task Inventory and Risk Assessment software and is a comprehensive risk management and risk analysis program, designed to be used by both the safety professional and those with part time safety responsibilities.
TIRA takes the hard work out of risk assessing and simplifies the risk assessors workload. TIRA helps the risk assessor complete the following risk assessments;
TIRA as a risk assessment software programme has a primary objective is to reduce the overall risk to employees and employers by making risk management simpler, less bureaucratic and more efficient.

TIRA as a risk assessment software programme covers the following risk assessment activities; (depending on TIRA version, see modules listing)
The TIRA risk assessment software programme will be installed into a directory on your C:\ Drive, "C:\TIRAv4".
Note: TIRA can be moved into an alternative directory and has a self re-connection routine to easily allow users to do so. A typical example would be when TIRA's data file 'TIRA_be' is moved onto a network drive to allow the front end to be placed on numerous user's terminals.
Network Usage: TIRA has been designed and developed to be multi-user and network efficient. TIRA always performs best when working on your local computer. However, it is recognised that many users will wish to network TIRA. Users may notice a slower than expected performance when connected over a network depending upon various factors such as the design, configuration, speed, traffic, etc. of your company network. (Example network setup)
Caution: If you are in a corporate network environment, you should check with your information technology department to determine whether your company has established guidelines concerning enabling content on Access databases.
